Willis Hosting Senior Town Hall Meeting at Westlake Hospital
MELROS PARK, Ill. – State Rep. Kathleen Willis, D-Addison, will be hosting a town hall meeting this week at Westlake Hospital to talk about changes in Springfield that can affect senior adults in Illinois.
“There are many discussions at the state and national level about changes to programs that may have a major impact on the health and care of local seniors,” said Willis. “I urge local residents to stop by this event to learn more about issues racing the senior community.”
The event will be held on Friday, April 21st from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Westlake Hospital Conference Rooms A – D, located at 1225 W. Lake Street in Melrose Park. A free lunch will be provided to those who attend. Rep. Willis, who serves on the Illinois House Committee on Appropriations – Human Services, said residents should be aware of the cuts and reduction of services that are being pushed in Springfield and how they can work with her to stand up against these proposed reductions to these vital services.”
“We need to make sure our seniors are being cared for and have the services they need,” said Willis. “I’m not going to give up fighting for them against the cuts that would hurt our most vulnerable residents.”
Willis is serving her third term in the Illinois General Assembly as State Representative of the 77th District, which includes O’Hare Airport and portions of Addison, Bellwood, Bensenville, Franklin Park, Maywood, Melrose Park, Northlake, Stone Park, and Wood Dale.
