Chicago Area Clean Cities Summer Internship Available

We are pleased to announce the Chicago Area Clean Cities Coalition is participating in the Summer 2014 U.S. Department of Energy Clean Cities University Workforce Development Program (CCWUDP). This summer, CCUWDP is offering up to 34 workforce development program positions across the nation and applications are now available.

This is a wonderful opportunity for students looking to gain experience in the energy and transportation areas. The online application process closes April 15, 2014. Applications can be found at http://www.cvent.com/d/t4q2ds. If selected, interns will be notified by May 20, 2014.

The Clean Cities internship will give students studying communications, public relations, business, marketing, engineering or environmental sciences, the opportunity to grow public awareness and expand the markets of advanced vehicle technologies, alternative fuels, and practices that reduce the consumption of petroleum.

Internship details:
One position availble in Chicago with CACC
Position is 30 or 40 hours per week for 10 weeks
Approximately May 27, 2014 through August 8, 2014
Stipends range from $3,600 - $6,000 per semester depending on academic classification and number of hours
Student will have workspace at the Chicago Department of Transportation
