Position Title: Natural Resources Summer Intern (15 Positions) Salary Range: $1346

Position Location: James R. Thompson Center, 100 W. Randolph, Chicago, IL (Cook County)

WORK SCHEDULE - Monday – Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm 1 hour Meal Break

Description of Duties

Candidate will receive training and instructions relevant to conservation and environmental fields of study; receive guidance and specialized training for completing projects that represent a variety of IDNR initiatives.

Desirable Education, Training and Experience

Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to the completion of four years of high school and active enrollment at a college. Requires no previous work experience. Requires ability to follow instructions and carry out routine operations, once established, without further instruction. Requires ability to establish and maintain working relationships with agency staff and general public. Preferred candidates will have a serious interest in learning more about working in natural resources related careers.

Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
